Fire Resistance of Steel Connectors of Precast Lightweight Concrete Walls

چکیده

In this study the fire test was performed to investigate mechanic behaviors and failure patterns of precast normal weight concrete (NWC) lightweight (LWC) walls with three types commonly used steel connectors, namely dry (61), wet (81), bearing (56E) connectors. For LWC wall specimens, on lateral application tension, cracking load values dry, wet, bearing-type connectors were 95.1%, 86.3%, 83.0%, respectively, original loads, their ultimate 81.6%, 90.7%, 85.0%, original. shearing after resistance test, value connector 88.2% load. Moreover, all specimens exhibited a considerable loss in ductility ratio test. However, hysteresis energy that can be absorbed seismic superior those NWC wall. Therefore, alt-hough similar patterns, for walls.

Design of Hybrid Precast Concrete Walls for Seismic Regions

This paper presents an ongoing research project on the behavior and design of “hybrid” precast concrete wall structures for use in seismic regions. Hybrid precast walls utilize a combination of mild (e.g., Grade 60) steel and high-strength unbonded post-tensioning (PT) steel for flexural resistance across horizontal joints. The mild steel reinforcement is designed to yield in tension and compre...

Seismic Displacement Demands for Hybrid Precast Concrete Shear Walls

This paper presents an analytical investigation on the peak lateral displacement demands of “hybrid” precast concrete panelized shear wall structures under seismic loading. The hybrid wall structure investigated uses a combination of mild [i.e., Grade 400 (U.S. Grade 60)] steel bars and highstrength unbonded post-tensioning (PT) strands for lateral resistance across horizontal joints. The analy...

non-linear study of various slit shear walls in steel structures

seismic retrofit strategies have been developed in the past few decades following the introduction of new seismic provisions and the availability of advanced materials and methods. it can be observed that new approaches to deal with more lateral forces are more innovative and more energy absorbent. in line with this, there is a growing trend toward the use of steel shear walls as a system with ...

Precast Concrete Elements

Lattice-girder floor slabs and double-wall elements have been successfully used in building and industrial construction for decades. These precast elements of 50 – 70 mm thickness serve as permanent formwork for the subsequently added in-situ concrete creating a monolithic structure. The high prefabrication level allows the construction period to be significantly minimized. The main goal is the...

Testing and numerical modelling of Steel-Concrete-Steel with stud bolts connectors subject to push-out loading

Steel-concrete-steel (SCS) sandwich panels are composed of two steel plates with low thicknesses and high densities and strengths and one thick layer between both plates with low strength and density known as core that is composed of concrete. Cohesive material-epoxy resin or shear connectors are usually used to connect the plates to the concrete core. SCS sandwich composites are being develope...
